# The French Workshop vs Erawan

The clearest difference is ads: Erawan at none against The French Workshop's shown. Erawan also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). The French Workshop's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 10). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for The French Workshop against 4.9 for Erawan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The French Workshop has 1.4K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The French Workshop ships an update every 7 months, Erawan every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
