# CellarTracker vs Cellar Somm

CellarTracker and Cellar Somm both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Cellar Somm's written reviews are positive against 71% of CellarTracker's. Cellar Somm also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). CellarTracker's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 1) and chart position (#15 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CellarTracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Cellar Somm sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for CellarTracker against 5.0 for Cellar Somm. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CellarTracker has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of CellarTracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cellar Somm's.

CellarTracker ships an update every 3 weeks, Cellar Somm every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
