# BluRabbit vs Ember

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BluRabbit at 52 against Ember's 1. BluRabbit also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Ember's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (freemium vs paid). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BluRabbit sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Ember sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ember holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BluRabbit has 52 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BluRabbit ships an update every 2 weeks, Ember every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
