# NSMeter vs Velocity Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NSMeter at none against Velocity Pro's 1. Velocity Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Velocity Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. NSMeter asks for nothing beyond the download.

NSMeter ships an update every 2 months, Velocity Pro every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
