# Notebook vs Brownie Points Plus

The clearest difference is ads: Brownie Points Plus at none against Notebook's shown. Brownie Points Plus also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (186 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Brownie Points Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brownie Points Plus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 186 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notebook ships an update every 2 months, Brownie Points Plus weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
