# Notebook vs Stash

The clearest difference is ads: Stash at none against Notebook's shown. Stash also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Notebook's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Stash sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notebook ships an update every 2 months, Stash every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
