# Calculator Lock vs Safe Vault

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Calculator Lock at 6.5K against Safe Vault's 4. Calculator Lock also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator Lock sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Safe Vault sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculator Lock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator Lock has 6.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Calculator Lock ships an update every 2 weeks, Safe Vault every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
