# Mountain vs Cloud Point

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cloud Point at fortnightly against Mountain's every 2 months. Mountain's advantage is ratings volume (707 vs 44) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mountain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Cloud Point sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mountain holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mountain has 707 ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of Mountain's written reviews are positive against 67% of Cloud Point's.

Mountain ships an update every 2 months, Cloud Point fortnightly. Both last shipped on September 29, 2026.
