# Mountain vs ITMO

The clearest difference is ads: ITMO at none against Mountain's shown. ITMO also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 74%). Mountain's advantage is ratings volume (832 vs 8) and chart position (#77 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mountain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and ITMO sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Mountain against 5.0 for ITMO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mountain has 832 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Mountain's written reviews are positive against 100% of ITMO's.

Mountain ships an update every 2 months, ITMO every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
