# Bogey Royale vs Retro Golf

The clearest difference is rating: Bogey Royale at 4.9 against Retro Golf's 4.2. Bogey Royale also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bogey Royale sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Retro Golf sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bogey Royale holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Bogey Royale's written reviews are positive against 100% of Retro Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bogey Royale ships an update weekly, Retro Golf every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
