# Orthodox Bible vs Repose

The clearest difference is ads: Repose at none against Orthodox Bible's shown. Repose also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Orthodox Bible's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 209) and chart position (#153 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orthodox Bible sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Repose sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Orthodox Bible against 4.7 for Repose. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orthodox Bible has 13K ratings behind it against 209, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 81% and 80% positive.

Orthodox Bible ships an update every 10 days, Repose weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
