# ChatPlus vs Briefday

The clearest difference is rating: ChatPlus at 4.7 against Briefday's 4.0. ChatPlus also leads on ratings volume (2.1K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatPlus sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Briefday sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChatPlus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatPlus has 2.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ChatPlus ships an update every 2 weeks, Briefday fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
