# raingo vs DPIP

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: raingo at none against DPIP's 4. raingo also leads on ratings volume (41 vs 8). DPIP's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 67%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DPIP sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. raingo asks for nothing beyond the download.

raingo holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: raingo has 41 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of raingo's written reviews are positive against 80% of DPIP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

raingo ships an update fortnightly, DPIP every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
