# Breveto vs Chat Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chat Notes at none against Breveto's 4. Chat Notes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). Breveto's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Breveto sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Chat Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chat Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Breveto has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Breveto ships an update every 6 weeks, Chat Notes every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
