# Echocalypse vs ValMatcher

The clearest difference is rating: Echocalypse at 4.7 against ValMatcher's 1.0. Echocalypse also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 1) and chart position (#99 vs unranked). ValMatcher's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echocalypse sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. ValMatcher asks for nothing beyond the download.

Echocalypse holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echocalypse has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Echocalypse ships an update every 5 weeks, ValMatcher every 2 days. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
