# VPN vs IPTV Player

The clearest difference is ads: IPTV Player at none against VPN's shown. VPN's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 33%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and IPTV Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Player holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 56 and 42 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 33% of IPTV Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, IPTV Player every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
