# EssAI Pro vs AI Sonic

The clearest difference is monetization model: AI Sonic at freemium against EssAI Pro's subscription. AI Sonic also leads on ratings volume (725 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). EssAI Pro's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EssAI Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and AI Sonic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EssAI Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Sonic has 725 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EssAI Pro ships an update monthly, AI Sonic every 7 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
