# EagleHerald vs Red Hook

The clearest difference is ads: Red Hook at none against EagleHerald's shown. Red Hook also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). EagleHerald's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for EagleHerald against 5.0 for Red Hook. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EagleHerald has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
