# AI Chat vs MetaCards

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MetaCards at 89% against AI Chat's 71%. MetaCards also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). AI Chat's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and MetaCards sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MetaCards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of AI Chat's written reviews are positive against 89% of MetaCards's.

AI Chat ships an update every 3 weeks, MetaCards every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
