# Calculator AppLock vs Hidem

The clearest difference is rating: Calculator AppLock at 4.8 against Hidem's 4.2. Calculator AppLock also leads on ads (none vs shown). Hidem's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator AppLock sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Hidem sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculator AppLock holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 594 and 923 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Calculator AppLock's written reviews are positive against 74% of Hidem's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator AppLock ships an update every 2 weeks, Hidem every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
