# Calculator AppLock vs AppLock

The clearest difference is monetization model: AppLock at free with in-app purchases against Calculator AppLock's subscription. Calculator AppLock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator AppLock sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AppLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculator AppLock holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 568 and 205 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Calculator AppLock's written reviews are positive against 77% of AppLock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator AppLock ships an update every 2 weeks, AppLock every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
