# HiBirds vs DBDD

The clearest difference is rating: DBDD at 4.5 against HiBirds's 3.1. DBDD also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). HiBirds's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DBDD sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. HiBirds asks for nothing beyond the download.

DBDD holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 61 and 39 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of HiBirds's written reviews are positive against 67% of DBDD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
