# Andar vs Bandolier

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bandolier at fortnightly against Andar's every 5 weeks. Bandolier also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Andar's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 232). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Andar against 4.9 for Bandolier. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Andar has 1.2K ratings behind it against 232, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Andar's written reviews are positive against 88% of Bandolier's.

Andar ships an update every 5 weeks, Bandolier fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
