# Backside Stats vs Umply Live

The clearest difference is monetization model: Backside Stats at free against Umply Live's freemium. Backside Stats also leads on ratings volume (76 vs 2). Umply Live's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backside Stats sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year and Umply Live sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Umply Live holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backside Stats has 76 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
