# HeartMath vs EmRes

The clearest difference is rating: HeartMath at 4.9 against EmRes's 3.7. HeartMath also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). EmRes's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HeartMath sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per year. EmRes asks for nothing beyond the download.

HeartMath holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HeartMath has 4.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HeartMath ships an update every 3 weeks, EmRes every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
