# Tunly vs MapSound

The clearest difference is ads: Tunly at none against MapSound's shown. MapSound's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tunly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MapSound sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tunly ships an update every 6 weeks, MapSound every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
