# Blink vs ChatThread

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blink at weekly against ChatThread's every 2 months. ChatThread's advantage is device support (4 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blink sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and ChatThread sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blink ships an update weekly, ChatThread every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
