# G vs TalkGuru

The clearest difference is rating: G at 4.4 against TalkGuru's 1.0. G also leads on ratings volume (140 vs 1). TalkGuru's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. G sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and TalkGuru sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

G holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: G has 140 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

G ships an update fortnightly, TalkGuru every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
