# Starchess vs FirstMove

The clearest difference is update cadence: FirstMove at every 3 days against Starchess's every 4 months. Starchess's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Starchess ships an update every 4 months, FirstMove every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
