# BRMEMC SmartFi IQ vs SummitControl

The clearest difference is rating: BRMEMC SmartFi IQ at 4.3 against SummitControl's 2.3. SummitControl's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (84 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BRMEMC SmartFi IQ holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SummitControl has 84 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of BRMEMC SmartFi IQ's written reviews are positive against 33% of SummitControl's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BRMEMC SmartFi IQ ships an update every 3 months, SummitControl every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
