# PhotoSolve vs AnswersAi

PhotoSolve and AnswersAi both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of PhotoSolve's written reviews are positive against 26% of AnswersAi's. PhotoSolve also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). AnswersAi's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoSolve sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and AnswersAi sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AnswersAi holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.4K and 2.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of PhotoSolve's written reviews are positive against 26% of AnswersAi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PhotoSolve ships an update monthly, AnswersAi weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
