# PhotoSolve vs CamSolve

The clearest difference is monetization model: CamSolve at free with in-app purchases against PhotoSolve's subscription. CamSolve also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%). PhotoSolve's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 70). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoSolve sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and CamSolve sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for PhotoSolve against 4.3 for CamSolve. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoSolve has 1.4K ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of PhotoSolve's written reviews are positive against 100% of CamSolve's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
