# PhotoSolve vs SolveAI

The clearest difference is monetization model: SolveAI at freemium against PhotoSolve's subscription. SolveAI also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). PhotoSolve's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoSolve sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and SolveAI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SolveAI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoSolve has 1.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PhotoSolve ships an update monthly, SolveAI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
