# V Shred VIP vs Pangenea

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pangenea at fortnightly against V Shred VIP's every 7 months. Pangenea also leads on rating (3.3 vs 3.0). V Shred VIP's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 15%) and ratings volume (62 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pangenea holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: V Shred VIP has 62 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of V Shred VIP's written reviews are positive against 15% of Pangenea's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

V Shred VIP ships an update every 7 months, Pangenea fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
