# Roots vs Streaky

The clearest difference is update cadence: Streaky at weekly against Roots's every 3 weeks. Streaky also leads on iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roots sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Streaky sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Roots ships an update every 3 weeks, Streaky weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
