# Reelster vs Loopsy

The clearest difference is rating: Reelster at 4.2 against Loopsy's 3.0. Reelster also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). Loopsy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reelster sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Loopsy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Reelster holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reelster has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Reelster's written reviews are positive against 100% of Loopsy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Reelster ships an update every 12 months, Loopsy monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
