# Sightreading Exercises vs ClarTone

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sightreading Exercises at every 5 days against ClarTone's every 2 weeks. Sightreading Exercises also leads on iOS requirement (15.8 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sightreading Exercises sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ClarTone sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sightreading Exercises ships an update every 5 days, ClarTone every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
