# Video Teleprompter vs ASCII Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Video Teleprompter at 60% against ASCII Camera's 0%. Video Teleprompter also leads on ratings volume (257 vs 1). ASCII Camera's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Teleprompter sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. ASCII Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

ASCII Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Teleprompter has 257 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Video Teleprompter's written reviews are positive against 0% of ASCII Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
