# Button Push! vs Shape Rush

Button Push! and Shape Rush both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of Shape Rush's written reviews are positive against 20% of Button Push!'s. Shape Rush also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Button Push!'s advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 16). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Button Push! sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Shape Rush sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shape Rush holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Button Push! has 4.2K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Button Push!'s written reviews are positive against 89% of Shape Rush's.

Button Push! ships an update weekly, Shape Rush every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
