# PremierVPN vs GeekSpeed

The clearest difference is ratings volume: GeekSpeed at 24 against PremierVPN's 1. GeekSpeed also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (87% vs 78%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PremierVPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and GeekSpeed sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PremierVPN against 4.9 for GeekSpeed. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GeekSpeed has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of PremierVPN's written reviews are positive against 87% of GeekSpeed's.

PremierVPN ships an update every 2 months, GeekSpeed every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
