# AI Office vs PDF Reader

The clearest difference is ads: AI Office at none against PDF Reader's shown. AI Office also leads on ratings volume (383 vs 4) and device support (3 vs 1). PDF Reader's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (50% vs 36%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Office sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and PDF Reader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for AI Office against 4.0 for PDF Reader. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Office has 383 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of AI Office's written reviews are positive against 50% of PDF Reader's.

AI Office ships an update every 2 weeks, PDF Reader every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
