# Speech To Text & Whisper vs ScriptAI

The clearest difference is rating: Speech To Text & Whisper at 4.7 against ScriptAI's 4.3. Speech To Text & Whisper also leads on ratings volume (87 vs 6). ScriptAI's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (83% vs 67%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speech To Text & Whisper sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and ScriptAI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speech To Text & Whisper holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speech To Text & Whisper has 87 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Speech To Text & Whisper's written reviews are positive against 83% of ScriptAI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speech To Text & Whisper ships an update every 2 months, ScriptAI every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
