# LiftAlert vs River Caddy

The clearest difference is rating: River Caddy at 5.0 against LiftAlert's 4.2. LiftAlert's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LiftAlert sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and River Caddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

River Caddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LiftAlert has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LiftAlert ships an update every 4 days, River Caddy every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
