# Simpletv+ vs VenevisionPlay

The clearest difference is rating: Simpletv+ at 4.6 against VenevisionPlay's 3.8. Simpletv+ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 48). VenevisionPlay's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (41% vs 31%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Simpletv+ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simpletv+ has 1.3K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Simpletv+'s written reviews are positive against 41% of VenevisionPlay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simpletv+ ships an update every 5 months, VenevisionPlay monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
