# Simpleplus vs Datalink TV

The clearest difference is rating: Datalink TV at 5.0 against Simpleplus's 4.6. Datalink TV also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Simpleplus's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Datalink TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simpleplus has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
