# Simpletv+ vs Canal i

The clearest difference is ads: Simpletv+ at none against Canal i's shown. Simpletv+ also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Canal i's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Canal i holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simpletv+ has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simpletv+ ships an update every 5 months, Canal i every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
