# Text With Jesus vs Epiphra

The clearest difference is ads: Epiphra at none against Text With Jesus's shown. Epiphra also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Text With Jesus's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text With Jesus sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Epiphra sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Epiphra holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text With Jesus has 3.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Text With Jesus ships an update every 10 days, Epiphra fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
