# Cretapedia vs Sam

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sam at every 3 days against Cretapedia's monthly. Cretapedia's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 16%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cretapedia sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month and Sam sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cretapedia ships an update monthly, Sam every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
