# Blackbird vs Sharey

Blackbird and Sharey both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Sharey's written reviews are positive against 36% of Blackbird's. Sharey also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Blackbird's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sharey holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackbird has 13K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Blackbird's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sharey's.

Blackbird ships an update weekly, Sharey every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
