# Finalist vs Kaleida

The clearest difference is ads: Finalist at none against Kaleida's shown. Finalist also leads on ratings volume (512 vs 18) and device support (5 vs 1). Kaleida's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Finalist sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Kaleida sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Finalist against 4.8 for Kaleida. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Finalist has 512 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Finalist's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kaleida's.

Finalist ships an update every 10 days, Kaleida every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
